The Architectural team worked closely with the company Division Manager to review and develop options for extending and altering the boathouse to accommodate a larger fleet of boats. This approach succeeded with a design that will secure the long term use whilst also improving the thermal performance of the building.

Project Outcomes

A cost effective solution to extend the dry dock without piling into the Caledonian Canal which is a scheduled monument and would have required further permissions and potential delays to the project.
Mabbett provided 3D renders utilising in house specialists. The client found this visual information very helpful to understand the final design concept.
A high performance insulated cladding panel was chosen to provide an energy efficient building envelope that would reducing heating costs and create a aesthetical improvement overall.
Planning Approval obtained in a timely manner that allows the project to be progressed onto Building Warrant stage.
