Little Mabbett Elves

Our vision is to help people See a Difference.

Primarily, we do this through offering clients the opportunity to achieve cost savings and reduce business risk. On top of this, we are also very concerned with helping our community See a Difference.

In our 18^th year of business, 2014 has been our biggest year of Community Engagement. We have collectively; raised over £2,700 for charity; made over 25 different types of cakes (for charity bake-offs); pedalled against poverty in a fundraising Spin Fit Challenge; raised awareness of local charities and issues; got into the People Make Glasgow spirit with the Commonwealth Games; added to our countries’ economic growth through offering numerous job opportunities; invested our time and energy into local schools and universities; and each of us have engaged with our local communities in a variety of different ways.

So why does an environmental, engineering consultancy do this? It’s simple really – Mabbett is made up of people who care about sustainability, environment and effectiveness – we care about our corporate professionalism and also our fellow humans!

Particularly at this time of year, we care for those who are less fortunate than us. At Mabbett, we cultivate Persistence, Integrity, Passion and Sustainability.  In terms of Community Engagement, we play this out around Christmas by providing Charity Donations. This year all staff voted to decide the top 3 charities who then received our donations; Yorkhill Children’s Hospital, Macmillan Cancer Support and Glasgow City Mission.

Financial support is always welcome, but as a team this year we also created the Mabbett Foodbank – collecting coffee, diluting juice, tinned fruit, sauce, hats and scarves to help subsidise some of the shortages at the Glasgow City Mission foodbank. Our Northern Ireland office also had their own Mabbett Foodbank, collecting for the Trussell Trust foodbank. It is a privilege for us to practically help and to inspire a generous spirit amongst our staff, clients and acquaintances. Join us in giving and help your community See a Difference!
