We have experience in the completion and support of noise impact assessments for commercial and industrial developments of all shapes and sizes. This can include:

Undertaking an initial noise risk assessment of the proposed development site;
Liaising with the planning and environmental regulators;
Observing internal noise level guidelines contained within BS4142:2014 or other relevant standards;
Providing a suitable mitigation strategy to ensure that noise levels will meet the guidelines;
Undertaking an assessment of the impact of noise on external amenity areas; and
Consideration of any other relevant issues pertaining to noise around the site.

What is a noise impact assessment?

If you need to give the Environment Agency or SEPA a noise impact assessment that uses computer modelling or spreadsheet calculations you must include the following information.

the site location and layout
your proposed activities and sources of any noise
local receptors and reasons for selection
your noise remediation approach
map showing the site and surrounding area including receptors
site plan including the site boundary
full noise survey report if you have carried out a BS4142 assessment
description of the noise mitigation measures you propose using and supporting evidence, such as the manufacturer’s engineering specification for items that mitigate noise emissions, or calculations of the screening effect of barriers
