Green Light Launched!

Mabbett are delighted to announce the launch of the Green Light programme. The programme uses expert help, consultancy and training to guide businesses through opportunities to improve resource utilisation (energy, water and waste) to save money and the steps in developing an Environmental Management System (EMS).

Green Light is modelled on the successful Northern Irish BITES (Business Improvements Through Environmental Solutions) programme, which saved 41 companies a total of £446,000 and 750 tonnes of carbon emissions.

Working in partnership with Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, Resource Efficient Scotland and Scottish Enterprise, we’ve seen an eager response from Glasgow Chamber of Commerce member companies embracing the Green Light programme to save money, manage resources better and gain environmental credibility.

The programme offers businesses many benefits, including;

By July 2015 our ‘Green Pioneers’ will have completed a baseline resource audit, identifying where significant savings could be made and taking action to implement the cost saving opportunities and attended three tailored workshops – designed to help them develop their own Environmental Management System – making cost savings and improved environmental performance a reality!
