We are seeking to recruit an ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Principal Consultant, ideally from a consultancy background to lead our ESG service growth (winning and delivering projects) for the UK and Ireland.

You will be provided with all IT equipment and software/services required to facilitate your efficient working. The ideal candidate will possess an Honours or Masters Degree in sustainability, international business, business administration, accountancy, environmental management, or similar, and have a have a full U.K. (or equivalent) driving licence with clean driver record. Professional chartership(s) (e.g. Society for the Environment, IEMA, CIPS etc.) would be viewed favourably.
You will be comfortable with proposal and tender writing, have a successful track record of winning and running contracts to agreed commercial arrangements, have a strong business network and be experienced with issue resolution and customer retention. You will have knowledge and experience of the topics within environment, social and governance, and have experience of managing/delivering ESG activities focusing on nonfinancial reporting, such as:
This role is within the Environment Group at Mabbett. Other technical groups include Climate & Carbon, Energy Engineering Groups and Safety, bringing already established services relevant to ESG delivery.
The successful candidate will enjoy the challenge of developing the ESG service, be able to provide examples of ESG work completed, and will be able to convert opportunities from external and internal sources into projects.
You will work for the Environment Group Director in a collaborative environment. You will relish the business-environment challenge of finding opportunities, winning work, delivering impactful projects, developing people, growing a team and delivering on sales goals (within which you will have a say). You will be responsible for planning, innovation, project delivery quality as well as developing a team.
