Landscape architects help create practical, attractive spaces which are good for our health and wellbeing, and the environment, such as public parks, green spaces in cities, or wildlife conservation areas.
Projects range in scale, and could cover residential, renewable energy, recreational, transportation, educational, commercial, institutional, and industrial development.
The key difference between an architect and a landscape architect is the type of design work they focus on. Architects focus on built structures such as houses or office buildings, whilst landscape architects concentrate on the outdoor environment, usually in a landscape design, management, science, or planning role.
A landscape architect requires to be creative, attentive, literate, interpersonal, knowledgeable, committed, honest and respectful.
