18th July 2013
Article 8 under the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (2012/27/EU), requires that large organisations undertake an assessment of energy consumption with the first audit to be completed by December 2015 and every four years thereafter.
Forcing large companies to assess their energy efficiency will save £1.9 billion over 15 years, says DECC in a consultation outlining a scheme due to launch in 2015. Source: www.environmentalistonline.com
