Mabbett sign up to Glasgow Over Plastic ‘Plastic Free Business Promise’

Mabbett embraced our own Plastic Free initiative in May 2018. To support our initiative, we created a Plastic Free Steering Group led by one of our Mechanical Engineers, Arrate Gomez. Arrate was passionate that our firm played a part in minimising our use of plastic through employee co-operation and efficient environmental management procedures. At our first meeting, Arrate spoke of her recent personal experience (and horror!) of hiking along the Cape Verde coastline and discovering plastic on the once unspoilt remote beaches. With Arrate’s leadership, Mabbett made a commitment to embrace our Plastic Free initiative. We have since been challenging our need to use plastic in our daily business operations. Our Company has since signed up to the Glasgow Over Plastic ‘Plastic Free Business Promise’ to publicly demonstrate our commitment to tackling the plastic crisis through practical action and we encourage others to do likewise.
