Mabbett Approach and Delivery

Bainfield Bowling and Social Club is one of the U.K.’s largest privately owned bowling clubs hosting two outdoor greens and an indoor complex. Mabbett, who are Resource Efficient Scotland framework contractors, were commissioned to conduct an energy survey of the current heating system to assess what the most cost-effective replacement options would be. The survey also included a review of existing lighting and recommendations to improve lighting efficiency.

Project Outcomes

Identified annual cost savings of over £12,000. and an annual reduction in annual CO2 emissions by 71.5 tonnes.
Importantly, recommendations to improve the efficiency and reduce the operating costs of existing heating and lighting systems were provided which could be retrofit into existing building services thus minimising the club’s capital expenditure.
