We prepared the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) submission for STV’s first SECR return in 2020.
Mabbett Approach and Delivery
The compliance team worked closely with the company Facilities Manager to advise and guide on data needed to prepare the submission. Through this approach we supported the Facilities Manager to broaden her knowledge and understanding of SECR.

Project Outcomes
- SECR submission: provision of a SECR submission which received excellent feedback when audited by a third-party audit body.
- Streamlined reporting: as well as provision of a report for inclusion in the Directors Report we provided a more detailed report and energy /emissions calculations spreadsheet as supporting evidence. The client found this supplementary data to be of value and the format used could help inform internal reporting.
- Client focused approach: this was the first reporting year under SECR and the client appreciated the approach taken by our compliance Team; who took time to explain the guidance and provide them with an understanding of the requirements of SECR.
