Rob Duncan is recognised by the Society for the Environment as a Chartered Environmentalist

Mabbett wish to congratulate Rob Duncan on his recent achievement on obtaining status as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv).

Rob is a long standing employee of Mabbett and serves as a Senior Environmental Consultant leading the environment team at the firm’s Belfast office. Rob specialises in delivery of resource (materials, energy, water, transport and waste) efficiency auditing, sustainability event presentations and development and implementation of stand alone or integrated management systems (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 50001) to businesses across Northern Ireland and the U.K.

Rob is also the lead technical delivery consultant for the BITES business improvement programme and is an Approved Lead Tutor for the IEMA Approved Foundation Certificate Course in Environmental Management.

Rob comments on this recent achievement, “The environmental sector is so dynamic, constantly evolving with new techniques, technologies and legislation driving our businesses to adapt to sustain in the short, medium and long-term. As an environmental practitioner I take on the responsibility of ensuring Mabbett’s clients are aware and prepared to face the environmental challenges and changes that lie in front and ahead of them taking account of the key sustainability principles. Being recognised as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) by the Society for the Environment gives me and my clients confidence that I am at the forefront of my profession and will continue to be as I maintain this prestigious status”.

Society for the Environment has re-branded their website and launched an online directory of Chartered Environmentalists (CEnv).This resource is publically available and details held on Chartered members include: name, registration number, professional affiliation and area of expertise. Click here to view the online directory.

The environment is such a broad sector, with specialists from engineering to science to policy and the Society for the Environment recognisees a range of professional institutes who contribute to the sector.
